The Charles Village Garden Walk is a self-guided walking tour celebrating outdoor living and gardening in Charles Village. 

2026, features gardens in the North section of Charles Village, from 29th Street north to University, between Charles Street and Greenmount Avenue. 

NEW for 2026 Guided Walking Tour of Gardens with neighborhood history and highlights!! Not sure how to get around? Join a guided tour! Two tours available - 1pm and 2:30pm. Space is limited!

Garden Walk Visitors vote for their favorite garden. Winning gardener receives a glorious prize package valued at over $100.

Proceeds from this stand-alone event support three neighborhood partners - 29th Street Community Center, Village Learning Place, and 26th Street Green.

For over 40 years, the Charles Village Garden Walk has delighted visitors to the many diverse private gardens and outdoor spaces that define our neighborhood's unique charm.

​With so many gardens to share, each year organizers alternate showcasing gardens north or south of 29th Street.

On tour day, hang the Garden Walk banner, open your gate, and welcome visitors.

Who We Support

Being in nature promotes well-being, reflection, and opportunities to build healthy relationships with our natural environment. Proceeds from the Charles Village Garden Walk benefit community partners whose missions include outdoor programming and gardens.
